Kotor is an ancient city located in Boka Bay with lots of activities one can do when visiting. Depending on the period of your visit Kotor has planned events the whole year around.



Places To See

Best period to visit Kotor is spring and summer, during the spring it will be less crowded however during the summer you can enjoy your time on the beaches in Boka Bay and also party almost every night. Nevertheless there are places in the city that I believe you must visit while staying. 



Old Town Kotor



Kotor Old Town is more that 2000 years old. It is rich with historical and cultural diversity. There are churches, restaurants, pubs, souvenir shops, museums, hostels etc. You should definitely go on a walking tour through the old town and later on try the hiking route all the way up above the Kotor, you will there be able to reach the viewpoint where you will see the whole city. On your way to the top you will be able to climb the wall that separated south and the north. 





Kotor Beaches

Kotor has many beaches that you can visit, located in Boka Bay, surrounded by mountains these beaches almost never have waves. They are a good place for visit and it gives up the feeling as if you are in some place surrounded by Norwegian Fyords. Beaches in Kotor that you should visit:

Boka Kotorska Bay

Located in Boka Bay Kotor welcomes the biggest cruise ships in the country. Each year many cruise ships are docking in Kotor bringing thousands of guests. Apart from bringing guests the ships are followed by dolphins as well which is the reason why Boka Bay is also a home to many dolphins all year round. Dolphins in Kotor are common thing, very often you would see them jumping out of the sea, following boats and simply relaxing in the bay as the sea is there always calm and not wavy like in the open waters. Many tourist that are visiting Kotor do go for a boat trip with local boats. Either for fishing tours, blue cave expedition, local tours and it happens often that they are followed by a pod of dolphins.
